Student Visit from UDE

As part of its university partnerships, the MPIfG welcomed around 25 master’s students from the Institute for Socio-Economics (IfSO) at the University of Duisburg-Essen in January this year. During their visit, the students had an opportunity to learn more about career paths in the social sciences and gain valuable insight into current research projects at the Institute. MPIfG senior researcher Dustin Voss and doctoral candidate Anna Hehenberger presented their respective research projects on generational politics in an aging society and pathways to decarbonization. In an open Q&A session after the presentations, the students were able to find out more from Dustin Voss and from Konstantinos Papanikolaou and Zarah Westrich (both IMPRS) about career trajectories and life as a researcher.
