MPIfG Lectures

The MPIfG Lectures, most of which are held in English, are open to internal and external audiences. At present, all the lectures take place in person and online participation is not possible. To register, please email info@mpifg.de or call 0221-2767-0. Many of the lectures are available as audio podcasts on our website.

Scholar in Residence Lectures

Each year, the MPIfG invites a distinguished scholar in the field of political science, economics, or sociology to spend three to six months at the Institute. During their stay, the Scholar in Residence offers a three-part public lecture series on a topic of their choice.

Annual Colloquium

The MPIfG Annual Colloquium is intended as a forum for discussion for social and political scientists from the MPIfG and other research institutions as well as for individuals engaged in the study of politics, society, and the economy. The two-day event aims to present current research taking place at the MPIfG and to provide an opportunity for informal discussion.
The colloquia are organized jointly by the MPIfG and the Society of Friends and Former Associates of the MPIfG and have been held every autumn since 2008.
