Habilitation Positions

You can apply for a six-year position as a senior researcher (with a mid-term evaluation after three years) in order to work on your habilitation. Open positions are announced here. You may apply once you have gained some postdoctoral experience after successfully completing your PhD in an area that is within the scope of the Institute’s Research Program.
Senior researchers are members of a research group led by one of the Institute's directors. Depending on your research project, you may have the opportunity to do field work, attend internal or external training and national and international conferences, and organize your own workshops. Throughout your time at the Institute, we support you in your career development with an eye to your individual needs and project requirements.
