Dustin Voss to Join Cologne Handwerkskammer

Dustin Voss, a senior researcher at the MPIfG, is to take up a post at Handwerkskammer zu Köln (HWK), Cologne’s chamber of skilled crafts, in February 2026. His new role as policy advisor for the HWK will involve preparing statements and position papers on regional economic policy and issues relating to the craft trades as well as representing the sector’s interests on committees at communal, state, and federal level. Voss joined the MPIfG in 2022 as a postdoc and has been a senior researcher in the Political Economy Research Area since 2023. His research in international and comparative political economy focuses on wealth distribution, housing, and generational conflict in aging societies. His connection with the MPIfG will continue through his membership of its alumni association, the Friends & Former Associates of the MPIfG.
