Alice Amsden Best Book Award: Honorable Mention for Sidney A. Rothstein

Sidney A. Rothstein, from 2018 to 2020 a postdoctoral researcher at the MPIfG and currently Assistant Professor at Williams College in Massachusetts, received an honorable mention in this year’s Alice Amsden Best Book Award of the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE) for Recoding Power: Tactics for Mobilizing Tech Workers (Oxford University Press, 2022). Rothstein explores in his book how workers can build power and defend against precarity in twenty-first-century capitalism. The annual Alice Amsden Best Book Award honors books that break new ground in the study of economic behavior and/or its policy implications.
