New Cooperation Agreement Between MPIfG and UCEN, Chile

The MPIfG and Universidad Central de Chile (UCEN) have signed a new cooperation agreement aimed at intensifying academic exchange between the two institutions. It builds on a Max Planck Partner Group established in 2020 at UCEN which draws to a close at the end of this year, continuing. The new agreement continues this cooperation and institutionalizing the connection between the two partners. Central to the two institutions’ work together is an exchange program for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, alongside which they will also organize joint workshops, conferences, and research projects, and collaborate on material and publications. A further component of the agreement is the link it establishes between UCEN’s graduate program in advanced social sciences (Doctorado en Estudios Sociales Avanzados, DESA) and its Center for Research on Economy and Society (Centro de Investigación en Economía y Sociedad, ESOC) and the MPIfG research program.
