Danielle Pullan Takes Up Assistant Professor Post in USA

Danielle Pullan, a former doctoral researcher at the IMPRS-SPCE, is to join Georgia College & State University, a small liberal arts university in the US, in August as an assistant professor of political science with tenure track. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher and instructor in the University of Cologne's Department of Political Science, where she has been teaching at bachelor’s and master’s levels since February 2024. Having joined the IMPRS-SPCE (International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Constitution of the Economy) at the MPIfG and the University of Cologne in 2020, she successfully completed her PhD in the fall of 2024 with a study on abortion policy in Europe. In addition to pursuing her academic career, Pullan has gained professional experience in nonprofit organizations, impact investing, tech startups, and consulting. She has also been involved in gender equality work and served as a representative in the Max Planck PhDnet. Her research interests include reproductive rights and abortion policy, gender politics, European politics, quantitative methods, and text analysis.
