Isabell Stamm Joins Einstein Circle “Liminality and Transfer”
Isabell Stamm, leader of the Business, Ownership, and Family Wealth research group at the MPIfG, has become a member of the Einstein Circle on Liminality and Transfer, a scientific network funded by the Einstein Foundation Berlin with scholars from HU Berlin, FU Berlin, Leipzig University, Aarhus University, the Leibniz Centre for Literary and Cultural Research in Berlin, and the MPIfG. In workshops, public talks series, and other events, the Circle will discuss current heritage and inheritance in an effort to gain a better understanding of the related issues. Topics for debate will include the transfer of private assets, social inequality, and cultural transfer in a globalized, postcolonial world (“world heritage”). The term “liminality” will be central to the Circle’s reflections on the temporal dimensions of heritage and exploration of the permanence of property. The Einstein Foundation Berlin is a nonprofit institution of the State of Berlin. Its aim is to promote top science and research in Berlin and establish the city as a center of scientific excellence. The first meeting of the Einstein Circle is planned for February 2024.
