Christine Claus retires after more than 30 years at the MPIfG

In August 2020, Christine Claus officially went into retirement after more than 30 years at the MPIfG. Claus came to the newly established Institute in 1987 and started working as a secretary for the researchers. Between 1988 and 1991, she worked in the secretary’s offices of different directors and took over that of founding director Renate Mayntz after returning from parental leave in 1996. From 2005, Christine Claus was in charge of the secretary’s office of managing director Jens Beckert as personal assistant and office manager. Her successor Marion Neuland has been at the Institute since June 2020 and as of now will be managing Jens Beckert’s office.
