IMPRS-SPCE Doctoral Program: Funding until 2025 secured

In November 2018, the Max Planck Society (MPG) reached a positive decision over the future funding of the International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Constitution of the Economy (IMPRS-SPCE). Until 2025, outstanding doctoral students from all over the world will be able to prepare for an academic career in Cologne. Following an evaluation in spring 2018, the external reviewers concluded that the international doctoral program had a clear and distinctive profile, derived from the excellent research performance of the MPIfG, and documented through high-quality publications. The IMPRS-SPCE is Germany’s first graduate program in economic sociology and political economy. Its central focus is research on the social and political foundations of economic actions in modern economies. The IMPRS-SPCE is a joint PhD program conducted by the MPIfG, the University of Cologne, and the University of Duisburg-Essen.
