Lectures at the MPIfG in the 2017/2018 winter semester

Once again, the MPIfG will offer guest lectures open to the public given by internationally renowned researchers: Joachim Radkau, Professor Emeritus at Bielefeld University, will discuss his "thoughts on the legacy of the future" and hazard forecasts about its potential as a promising concept on December 7 (in German). Waltraud Schelkle, Professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science, will speak on the political economy of monetary solidarity on January 26. All who wish to attend may sign up here: The lectures by Mary O’Sullivan, Professor at the University of Geneva, on the meaning of securities markets in the history of capitalism in the US and by Jan-Werner Mueller, Professor of Political Science at Princeton University, on the concept of "illiberal democracy", which took place on October 12 and 26, respectively, will soon be available as podcasts on the MPIfG's website.
