Alice Amsden Best Book Award: Honorable Mention goes to Aldo Madariaga
Aldo Madariaga, Head of the Socioeconomic Transformations Observatory of the MPIfG in Chile and MPIfG Research Associate, has been awarded an Honorable Mention in this year’s Alice Amsden Best Book Award of the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE) for his book Neoliberal Resilience: Lessons in Democracy and Development from Latin America and Eastern Europe (Princeton University Press, 2020). The Alice Amsden Best Book Award is awarded annually for books that break new ground in the study of economic behavior and/or its policy implications with regard to societal, institutional, historical, philosophical, psychological, and ethical factors.
