7/30/2004 great things ahead: meet me at the "Language of Networks" an electronic exhibition (September 2-7, 2004) at the "Ars Electronica 2004" in Linz Austria. We will have an intensive communication about "Network Visualization" on a symposium that takes place in Linz, Austria September, 1-2, 2004. Here is a lowres pdf of the exhibition catalog "Language of Networks" . My article (current english and german text) from the Timeshift catalog is availabe here. A coauthored paper with Martin Höpner: The Politics of the German Company Network published as a MPIfG Working Paper. "For over 100 years, the German company network was a major feature of organized corporate governance in Germany. This paper uses network visualization techniques and qualitative-historical analysis to discuss the structure, origins and the development of this network and to analyze the reasons for its recent erosion ..."

3/7/03 new visualizations
A number of static (pdf) and interactive (SVG) visualizations which I have produced for the German Science Foundation (DFG) are available from the DFG website: http://www.dfg.de/ranking/netzwerke/netzwerke.html. The visualizations display the cooperation of Universities and Research Institutes in DFG coordinated Programs for various research domains.
