  The catalogue of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies with the option to search MPG licenced e-books and link to the Max Planck Virtual Library.

• [] Catalogue of the University Library, Cologne

  catalogue of the university library of Cologne. Included in the online catalogue are books and media published after 1989 and all journals, older literature is gradually being included and can fully be researched in the printed catalogue in the library. Institute members find here information on using the University library and interlibrary loan through the MPIFG library service.

• [] Union catalogue of Cologne University Libraries (KUG)

  Presently the online catalogues from 102 institute and seminar libraries of the University of Cologne (from 150) are being search, including the University Library and other special collections. The institutes libraries not yet part of the KUG can be searched via KVIK.

  The catalogue of the German National Library comprises the German literature collected since 1913. Media from German Musical Archive are not included, but the research option for dissertations and older literature are very good.

• [] Karlsruher Virtual catalogue (KVK)

  The Karlsruhe Virtual catalogue is a meta search interface which allows you to access library catalogues via WWW. It starts a simultaneous search in the German union catalogues, national libraries across the world, databases of books in print, etc according to your own choice and gives you a standardized hit list.

  WorldCat connects you to the collections and services of more than 10,000 libraries worldwide. Use our SFX-Service in Worldcat!   The database compiles all journals held at German libraries, listing the respective libraries. You can limit your search to a certain region, e.g. NRW, or library (for Cologne Sigel 38).

  The Max Planck Virtual Library (vLib) is a portal to scientific information resources available to staff and guests of the Max Planck Society. It presently includes nearly all Max Planck library catalogues and licensed reference databases as well as numerous external catalogues, databases, reference works, e-print servers, etc. Further resources are being added continuously.
