Timur Ergen Awarded Theodor Wessels Prize

In November 2015, Timur Ergen was awarded the Theodor Wessels Prize given for outstanding research on the energy industry and its policies. As one of two prize winners, he received the award for his dissertation on the political economy of the photovoltaic industry in which he examines photovoltaics as a case of hope, aspirational application and repeated collective failure. The prize, worth €10,000, is awarded to research which makes a major contribution to clarifying issues around the energy economy. From 2010 to 2014, Timur Ergen was a doctoral student at the International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Constitution of the Economy (IMPRS-SPCE) and is currently a researcher at the MPIfG. more (in German)
