The Working Group on Institutional Change, headed by Wolfgang Streeck und Kathleen Thelen (MIT), met in January 2012 for a 3-day workshop on the uses and abuses of evolutionary theory in the study of institutional change. The group was set up in 2010 as a forum for researchers working on a range of empirical issues to debate the sources of institutional stability and the modes and mechanisms of institutional change. The group meets once a year.
