Dominic Akyel is the new Academic Coordinator for the institute’s international research school, IMPRS-SPCE. He has been in post since August 2011 and took over from Saskia Freye, who was coordinator from 2008. Dominic Akyel has been a researcher at the MPIfG since 2008 and is soon to defend his doctoral thesis at the University of Cologne on the political economy of the funeral market.
