Visiting Researchers in Fall and Winter 2011

Simone Schiller-Merkens, a researcher at the University of Mannheim, will be at the MPIfG from October to December working on market formation and social movements.  
Christoph Nguyen is a visiting doctoral student from Northwestern University, Chicago, and will be doing research from October to December on gradual institutional change in the labor market in Germany.  
Julian Gruin, a doctoral student from the University of Oxford, will be working during his stay from October to December on the development of China's banking sector under conditions of transnationalization.  
Pierre de Larminat, a doctoral student from École Normale Supérieure in Paris and the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, will be at the MPIfG from October 2011 to September 2012. He is working on his doctoral project "What Makes a Good Portfolio Manager? Dealing with Uncertainty in the Financial Industry."
