Visiting Researchers in Summer 2011

Paola De Vivo, from the Universität Neapel, was a visiting researcher at MPIfG from April to May. She worked on her research project concerning the governing of economic development in southern Italy.  
Hristina Markova, a doctoral fellow at the Universität Heidelberg, is visiting the MPIfG from May until July. Her dissertation investigates the possibilities for a paradigm change in German higher education policy.  
Margaret Weir, Professor of Sociology and Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, is a visiting researcher at the MPIfG from May until July. Her current research focuses on social reforms in the US.  
Etienne Cognard, a researcher at the Ecole normale supérieure de Lyon, is visiting the MPIfG from May until August. He is investigating the financing of sectoral neo-corporatism from the employers' perspective.  
Harrison Grafos, a doctoral fellow at the University of Pittsburgh, is visiting the MPIfG from April until August. He is working on his dissertation on the privatization and reform of the French and German postal services .  
Alexander Reisenbichler, from the George Washington University, is visiting the MPIfG from June until August. He is carrying out research into the robustness of the German labor market during and after the financial crisis.  
Matthias Thiemann, a doctoral fellow at the Columbia University, New York, is visiting the MPIfG from May until September. He is investigating the mutual impact of government regulation and innovations in financial services.
