Roy Karadag was awarded his doctorate by the University of Cologne on July 23, 2010. In his dissertation "Political Capitalisms: Power, Elites and the Economy in Turkey and the Philippines" he analyzes the emergence of political-economic power structures whose origins lie in the postcolonial formation of the state and capitalism. Roy Karadag is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the MPIfG.
