Andrea Scavo from the Istituto Italiano di Scienze Umane (SUM) in Florence will be a visiting doctoral student at the MPIfG in May and June. During his stay in Cologne he will work on his dissertation on how policy networks affect regional policies on the economic internationalization of firms in Italy, using actor-centered institutionalism as a theoretical framework.
Kanji Ikeda, a researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Hosei University in Tokyo, will be a visiting researcher at the MPIfG from May until September. He is working on a research project on forest management in Asia.
Matthias Thiemann, a doctoral fellow Columbia University, New York, will be a visiting researcher at the MPIfG from June to September. He is examining the mutual impact of government regulation and innovations in financial services.
