Visiting Researchers in Fall and Winter

Hilary Drew is a doctoral fellow at the Cardiff Business School and will be a visiting researcher at the MPIfG from October 2009 to January 2010. Drew is researching the management of demographic change in German companies.  
Sanjay Pinto is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at Harvard University and will be a visiting researcher at the MPIfG from October to December 2009. The subject of his research is structural difference and inequality in contemporary capitalism.  
Harrison Grafos, from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh, will be a visiting doctoral fellow at the MPIfG from October 2009 to June 2010. His research subject is "The New Face of German Public Administration? The Transformation of the Postal Sector."  
Natascha van der Zwan, a doctoral candidate at the New School for Social Research in New York, will be a visiting researcher at the MPIfG from September 2009 to January 2010. Her dissertation research centers on "The Financialization of the Soziale Marktwirtschaft: Pension Politics in Germany."  
Bob Jessop is a Professor in the Department of Sociology at Lancaster University and will be a visiting researcher at the MPIfG from October through December. During his time in Cologne, Jessop will be working on his research topic "Variegated Capitalism in a World Market Organized in the Shadow Of Neoliberalism."  
Jill Rubery is a Professor at the Manchester Business School and will be a visiting researcher at the MPIfG from October to December. She is doing research into the dynamics of national employment models and is working on an index on business deregulation from a gender perspective.  
Frédéric Widmer, a research fellow at the Laboratoire d'Analyse de la gouvernance et action publique en Europe (LAGAPE) at the University of Lausanne, will also be a visiting researcher at the MPIfG from October to December 2009. The subject of Widmer's research is "Changes in Corporate Governance and Industrial Relations in the Swiss Machine Industry."  
David Dequech comes to the MPIfG from the University of Campinas in Brazil and will be a visiting researcher from December 2009 to March 2010. During his time in Cologne, Dequech will be researching the foundations and challenges of stable institutions.
