Philipp Klages was awarded his doctorate on July 6, 2009, by Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. His dissertation examines the legal institutionalization of economic change based on the case of the development of corporate governance in Germany and the United States. Klages will be working in a graduate program on "Markets and Social Systems in Europe" at the University of Bamberg as of August 2009.
