Visiting Researchers in January 2009

Sebastian Karcher from Northwestern University will be a visiting doctoral fellow at the MPIfG from January to March 2009. He will be working on his dissertation on the subject of "Varieties of Labor Market Adaptation."  
Dennis Bogusz from Columbia University will also be a visiting doctoral fellow at the MPIfG from January to March. He is doing research on "Effects of Voluntary Practices by Firms."  
Paul Lagneau-Ymonet, of the Centre de Sociologie Européenne of the EHESS (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales), will be a visiting researcher at the MPIfG from January to July 2009. The subject of his research is "The Paris Stock Exchange and Ist Agents: Between the Nation-State, the Market, and Transnational Governance Bodies (1988-2006)."
