Technocratic Elites, Expert Knowledges and Financialization

Julie Froud, Manchester Business School
This lecture will consider some of the groups of technocratic elites who have assumed an increased importance since the banking crisis that began in 2007. The lecture will explore the kinds of expert knowledges that these elites have and the implications for our ability to resolve many aspects of the ongoing crisis.
